Having spent 10+ years living in Dallas, mostly in the downtown area, I'd easily consider the Gingerman my favorite bar. It's in the Uptown area, which is just north of downtown Dallas. It's surrounded by a number of other bars and restaurants so if it doesn't tickle your fancy you'll have plenty ...

HOB Dallas is a great venue for Live bands and top name celebrity shows. Great sound stage and lighting. Parking can be a pain due to its location, but if you plan ahead you can have an easy experience. There is also Valet service available at most shows.

Every time I go to Tribeca the amount I signed for is not the amount that shows on the credit card statement. I really liked this place until I found out that they randomly add an amount to each of my 4x checks I signed there. Shame on you!
