Daisy Apartments Rome Reviews
Great location for a good price Jul 27, 2010
For our city trip to Rome we wanted an apartment that would be within walking distance of some mayor attractions. The Daisy Apartments have an excellent location.
When I first saw pictures of the apartment on the Internet and in the brochure, I hesitated a bit. They looked small and a bit dingy. However, the reviews I read were quite positive. And we would only be there to sleep, so how bad could it be? So we decided to book the apartment through the travel agency.
The apartments are owned by Hotel Cecil, just one street away from the apartments. You also have to check in there. The staff was very friendly and walked with us to the apartment to show us around. They were also kind enough to answer any of our questions about the area.
The apartment was quite small, about 25-30 square meters, but good enough for a week. It had a double bed in the main room and a single bed in a seperate room, a table for two, tv, a kitchen (hidden in a closet), plenty of closet space and a bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and sink. Moreover, the apartment was very clean. Towels and sheets are provided, but I would recommend bringing your own towels, as these are only renewed once a week.
The building itself has four floors and has an elevator. Our apartment was on the first floor.
The location is, as I said, excellent. The apartments are located exactly between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain, which are just a few streets away. Also Piazza Navona and the Pantheon are walkable and there are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood.
The street itself is very quiet. Furthermore, Piazza Barberini and metro station Barberini are just a few meters away.
In total we paid around 550 euros for six days, excluding a 100 euro deposit, which will be returned at the end.
To summarise, the Daisy Apartments have a very good value for your money: they have a good location, they're clean and the hotel staff is very friendly. I would recommend the Daisy Apartments for a short city trip to Rome.
