Dahliacorso (Flowerparade) Zundert Reviews
Sep 16, 2007
Are you looking for a complete day trip?
Zundert offers you this possibility on the first Sunday of September. You will be suprised by street shows, you stroll around the fair, you will have a drink at one of the many outdoor cafés, you are enjoying the atmosphere on this late summer Sunday. It is a nice place to be, you are comfortable. Until…
… until the flower parade starts. You are stunned. You did not know that something like this could exist. Dahlia giants of dazzling beauty, experiences of art, music and theatre. Other worlds are passing you by. And when the last float disappears, you shake your head and mumble ‘what an experience’.
You can see the floats from the street of Zundert. This is free.
Tip: I would like to give you one advice: make sure you have a good view of the flower parade. After all the floats only live for two days. Afterwards they are irrevocably broken down and only the pictures will remain. You will have the best view of the flower parade from the stands. Moreover, you will be provided with expert opinions. The area around the Markt is full with stands. For seats in the stands, depending on the place, you pay about € 15,-.
Zundert is besides the Dahliacorso very famous because of the Dutch Post-Impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh(30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890). Vincent Willem van Gogh was born in Groot-Zundert.
His paintings and drawings include some of the world's best known, most popular and most expensive pieces.
