Dacha is a "tiny" bar with loud music, popular with university students/younger crowd. It's kind of ghetto, but beer is cheap, and the atmosphere isn't too bad. It feels very avant-garde and run-down at the same time. The type of music they play depends on the DJ, but they mostly play catchy songs. This makes a good introduction to how young ordinary Russian people enjoy their nightlife. You also see some resident foreigners in Saint Petersburg or backpackers frequenting this place.

During the night, i frequented Dacha and Fidels (2 awesome bars on Dumskaya ul) aswell as Novus on Bolshaya Morskaya. I also checked out Dickens, Red Lion and Metro, but in my opinion none of them compared for atmosphere or value for money (drinks are only 50 Roubles - $1.80) at the former… My whole body hurts!

Watched the forests and Dachas pass by. The conductress was no where to be seen, but she did turn up to sell us coffee 5 minutes to arrival time into Moscow. We were actually met by the guide at the station.She led us to the hotel, the Cosmos which… Friday 29th June Train to Moscow

We also had a couple of good nights out at Dacha and Fidels and on Wednesday 11th we went to the Dickens bar to watch Russia beat Estonia and England get beaten by Croatia in the football. The same night we met a guy called Igor Timofeev who is the lead singer with a very… Back to Russia!

Then we started to see nice looking Dachas, some under construction, which were obviously new and built by people who have some money.
