Best Mexican in LODO - Denver, CO Apr 17, 2009
Friday lunch tradition. D' Corazon is excellent and as of this review, the best Mexican food I have found in Downtown Denver. The food is spicy, the menu is extensive, the waitresses enjoy the music with a smile, and Eddy (the owner) knows his customers by name (or nicknames in our case).
The salsa is made fresh everyday and happy hour never ends. You can get $2.99 margaritas (strong) all day long but there is a limit of 4. Unless you are a heavy drinker, 4 may be all you need. I get the chicken enchiladas frequently - delicious. Combo #5 is usually a staple at our table - a smothered beef burrito, a chile relleno, and a cheese enchilada. If you go at lunch, prepare to meet a line that is completely out the door. Music plays in the background all day long and if you are lucky, one of the Senioritas might serenade you.
