Prague 2007

After contemplating going to visit Prague for a while I finally did so in March of this year. I went for five days not really knowing what to expect but was told that building after building were amazing to look at and there were two things I had to see, The Charles Bridge and the clock on the Old Town Hall Tower in the Old Town Square. On arrival at the Airport I purchased a 'Prague Passport' in the departure lounge. I was recommended by a friend to get one of ...

Arriving in Prague
posted by:
Jul 31, 2007 - Aug 14, 2007
So it looks like Prague isn't really a breakfast town. There are very few places to get breakfast around here. Our hostel, Czech Inn and another place in town called Bohemia Bagels. Gregg, Pelayo, and I got up around 6:30 to go to the bagel place. Gregg got up earlier and went jogging and was getting a bunch of strange looks. I guess people never seen joggers before, odd since most people in Prague seem to be in great shape. Must be all the walking they do. We arrived at the bagel place and ...

I really love the Czech Republic. On every level. Probably one of my favourite countries in Europe. Last year I was in Crusty Bumfluff (Cesky Krumlov) with my cousins. What a great little town. Wicked food, great beer, beautiful scenery, gorgeous people and all for a penny. What else can you want? Exactly a year later I was back with my mate Shane. We also got to Ceske Budjovice this time...

Three of my friends and I decided we needed a to get out of Krakow for a few days, but we didn't have very much time or money, so we decided to take the Friday night train from Krakow to Prague (which gets in sometime after 7am Saturday), spend all of Saturday in Prague, spend the night, spend most of the day Sunday, and take the train back to Krakow Sunday night (gets into Krakow sometime after 5am Monday morning).  In this way we get some time there, but only have to pay for a hostel f...

Welcome to "the Capital City of Praha." Situated on the River Vltava in central Bohemia, Prague is the political, cultural and economic center of the Czech Republic. Home to 1.2 million people, Prague is clearly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and the world. Since 1992, historic Prague has been on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Christmas time is Prague is incredible - words cannot do it justice. A visit here should be on the short list for any serious traveler!

The first version was stupid...well...what to say... We all do it, we all need it...once in a while, letting loose is healthy! My friends and I practice it every day though...that's what makes us different, we don't know any better :) We get on our bikes, put on running shoes, or just grab backpacks and disappear... This is just the beginning...more is coming :)

Prague’s Jewish Quarter was once home to about 35,000 Jews, but under Nazi occupation most of its residents were deported to concentration camps. Only about 1,200 returned to Prague after the war. Dark times. Today, the Jewish Quarter is home to synagogues that have been turned into museums, a small Jewish community, and a hell of a lot of tourists. My main interest in this neighborhood was its old Jewish Cemetery. It was a fairly short walk from our apartment, and after pushing our way thr...

Because my older brother Robert work as a photographer for the company oe4 - he gets always free tickets for diverse events like festivals, concerts, clubs, parties... His next destination was the Creamfields Festival in Breclav/Czech and he asked me to accompany him to this event.  So we took a train from Vienna to Breclav and waited for the festival bus at the train station. Half an hour later we arrived at the Creamfields Festival and got VIP-press-tickets. ...
