The Highlight of our trip to Bali Nov 24, 2008
We got more out of this 1 day in Bali out of all 12 then any other thing we did. We have 2 children 9 and 12 and they still talk about their cycling tour. We chose this tour company as it had canoeing as well and they were the best. Our Miss 9 was not confident on a bike or with strangers and she had the best day and really warmed to the guide. Our Mr 12 still talks about the canoes on the Lake and visiting the school. This tour was great value for money as well, we paid about $150 for our family of 4 and this included being picked up from our hotel; on the long drive up to Lake Batur we could stop whenever we wanted to take photos, such as the rice paddies and the view at Kintamani. When we got there, we were surprised to find there was an a la carte breakfast. Then we went canoeing for about 1.5 hours, then a huge Indonesian lunch with fresh fish from the Lake that we had just been on, then a walking tour through the village and a cycle around the lake and through the farms, it ended with going inside a primary school, which really showed us how hard these rural Balinese children have it. Then before returning back to Legian we had a cold soft drink and icy cold towel. It really was an amazing day and I cannot recommend it enough.

Cycle through traditional villages to learn about the other side of Bali Nov 03, 2008
If you only go to Bali to surf, shop or party. Take the time out to do a tour to the Mountains, learn about the culture of the still traditional Balinese that live without the commercialism of the South. Be invited to join in their day to day lives. Cycle through some of the most beautiful countryside and also canoe on Lake Batur. A must do!

Wedding is considered as the most important life cycle ritual ceremonies for the Hindu-Balinese. The other one is the tooth filling (Masangih). Ceremonies set for a certain time may be either running early or late, depending
on the availability of the pemangku or, if attending, a pedanda
(high priest). The wedding cake… Balinese Wedding |
