Arrived on a bus from Copacabana and bumped into Nick (UK - met in patagonia) on the street near plaza de Armas. thought about doing one of the treks but "the inca trail" was booked out for the next 3 months so decided to cop-out on the long walk and take the train up to Machu Picchu.

Spent a month in South America, including 2 weeks in Cuzco, Peru, 1 week in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and 1 week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Best month of my life!
While in Peru, we spent 4 nights camping in the Manu Rain Forest, did a 4 day hike of the Inca Trail, and also did the 3rd highest bungee jump in the world (along with the longest human slingshot)!

18th Apr 2008I' m sitting in my hotel in Cusco winding down after having just completed the 4 Day Inca Trail Trek; what an adventure it was! Despite the sore limbs and the dirt encrusted nails, I feel on top of the world!I highly recommend this trek to anyone seeking a bit of adventure, a challenge…
