“Stunning scenery" Mar 10, 2012
The bus that took us arrived at Ujung Genteng at 6 am, after a 9 hour drive through the night from Jakarta, these are busy weekend tours so we must be ready to start our tour almost as soon as we arrive... we breakfast first at a cafe, here our guide tells us where he will be taking us first, this will be to visit the Cikaso waterfall.

There are 2 ways to reach the location of the waterfall, one can be by walking along the rice paddies or the other is to rent a motor boat. Having come here through a mailing group JK our way to the waterfall is by the boat...hmmm...we all glad about this after 9 hours on the I am sorry I can not tell you how much the boat cost to hire, we are just following the guide.

Once our guide sorted out our entrance and boat passes, we go direct to the boat, where visitors are already waiting at the river bank. The River boat went straight to the Cikaso Waterfalls, which takes about 5 minutes, along the way on either side the look is of an impression of a tranquil tree-lined nature.

We all alighted the boat onto the banks of the river and walked towards the waterfall area which is about 50 meters distance away, I can here the sound of the pounding overflowing waters that fall from a great height, then we take sight of a beautiful natural painted canvas that catches your eyes and takes your breath away.

As soon as my feet stepped in the river flow from the waterfalls brrr... its so cold, but so worth it in the visible stretch of stunning scenery. I was fascinated with this Cikaso waterfalls as unfold into 3 majestic waterfalls with white water waves erupting as huge amounts of water hit the rocks of the riverbed. Visitors are presented with a 3 piece waterfall each of which have been given names, to the left Asepan in the center is meong (it’s no pussy cat)...hehehe...and the rightmost is named Aki.

These Cikaso waterfalls are at a height of nearly 80 meters, and a width of 100 meters of cliff face that is decorated with large rocks, trees, and moss add to the beauty. The falls are located in Ciniti Village, District Cibitung, Jampang Kulon, West Java the southern part. These waterfalls are actually named LUHUR waterfalls, but because the waters come from the flow of the Cikaso River, the more frequent and commonly mentioned name is that of the Cikaso waterfalls.

For visitors who like to capture great pictures this place is one that you might find perfect, because the effect of the sunlight that filtered through the many trees with a variety of colored leaves making this a pure and heavenly place. A visit to the waterfalls is superb during the rainy season, because of the abundant water making the volume unique at Cikaso waterfalls.
