Great Food, Great Prices, English Menus, Nice Location Jul 24, 2011
I am staying in Recoleta, and while walking past Cumana with a friend he said I should try that place out, but I forgot about it, until I used the TimeOut Buenos Aires app on my iphone to find somewhere to have dinner with friends. The review said it was a cheap and very busy place, but we got a table on a weekday no problems. I had the gnocci which was some of the best gnocci, like fluffy little pillows in a nice cream sauce. I also pigged out and got the eggplant casserole, also delicious, as well as a nice salad. All the food and drink was priced very affordably and the ambiance was excellent. We had a bottle of Moscato, then switched to a less sweet white wine, and then on the way back home I did not know any bottle shops which were open, so we bought another bottle of the Moscato and too it home with us! Never before have I bought wine from a restaurant to take back home, but for only 18 pesos (US$4), it was not an issue!
