Culture Box

I was in Copenhagen two weeks ago and as I always do I wanted to check out night life as well. I found some people on the street and asked for a nice night club. They told me about Culture Box and how popular it is. I met some friends from school at hostel and they told me about another place but Culture Box was walking distance so I preferred it.

Culture Box located at a kind of silent neighborhood. It's on a small street and doesn't have a big entrance. It's really close to city center though right next to the King's Garden.

When we got there it was midnight and they just opened the doors. We were like the first ones entered the place. When I asked for the price I was really surprised. It was 60DKK and 30DKK with a valid student card. So after drinking a beer for 60DKK in a pub in the city it was a good deal. Besides beer was also 30DKK so I really liked it from the beginning. We paid like 15DKK for our coats and that's it.

Place has all black walls, it looks like an old depot was burned and turned into a night club it was really sexy. We were lucky because that night two German Dj. brothers were playing called "Wighnomy Brothers ". I had never heard them before but they were really great. I hadn't had this much fun for a long time.

Another thing I realized is people doesn't dress up very much in Denmark when they go out, at least comparing to Sweden. Everyone was really casual and laid-back. That's what I really liked about the place as well. It is not a really big place, there is a main stage and one basement stage. As I said before it's really minimal.

Well because of my nagger friends we had to left like 2am and the place was just starting to warm up and there were a long line at the door when we left.

Overall, "Culture Box" is a great place for a great night at Copenhagen. If you visit there you should definitely see that and don't forget to check out web page in order to see what is up that night.
