Introducing one of the best French fine dining in town run by a talented and enterprising French woman, Chef Nathalie Arbefeuille. Though she is self-taught, nevertheless she had help from Chef Anne-Sophie Pic (3 Michelin Stars) to develop her recipes and style. Recently, she was joined by another equally skillful Chef Clara who trained under Michelin star Chef Alain Ducasse for three years. As a result of these powerful combination, Cuisine Gourmet by Nathalie won many local culinary awards.

We ordered the Nathalie's Selection Set which consisted of three finger food, pan seared foie gras appetizer, herb confit saltbush lamb shoulder, raspberry mille-feuille dessert and macaron. In addition, also ordered the warm Brittany blue lobster with caviar starter and cafe gourmand dessert. Chef Clara was very kind to supplement us with additional helping of the three finger food that had grilled lamb, cream of asparagus in foam and scallop in saffron based sauce.

The Brittany blue lobster dish was a mouth-watering combination of succulent lobster meat and crispiness of kadaif (Albanian shredded phyllo dough). I was pleasantly surprised by the exotic combination of green apple chutney and curry tomato jelly sauces which actually works in terms of palatability. The foie gras simply melts in the mouth. I love that the dish was accented with traces of of smoked duck and duck meat. I'm not a mutton person but the main dish was very tender and lack the muttony stench I detest. Needless to mention the desserts were vraiment magnifique! Overall, we enjoyed the food very much. Not to forget were the beautiful food presentations that had been a wonderful sight to behold.

Cuisine Gourmet by Nathalie is highly recommended. Do come over if you ever have a chance to visit Kuala Lumpur. This place serve as a testament to the success story of foreign female entrepreneurs in Malaysia. Remember to make reservation prior to your visit. Bon app├ętit!
