Destroyed cave Jul 31, 2012
Cuevas de Taulabe are close to the town of the same name on the side of Lago de Yojoa. It is very easy to get to the cave because it is located on the main road between San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa. It cost some money to get in the cave which is evidently under protection of the Honduran government, but actually almost totally destroyed.

Tourist part of the cave has concrete path that takes you through the broken stalactites and stalagmites. When you get to the end of the road, you can walk to the real part of the cave which is badly ruined by graffiti which will follow you almost everywhere. This part goes deep in the ground and you should check for existence of the air in the tunnels that you go to.

Guards and guides do not care if someone is inside and we almost got locked in due to their short working hours. It is not a cave to be explored by beginners, and guides are recomended (they are not expensive and can be interesting)
Good information from D&D Brewery

Interesting photos - not bad considering the lighting conditions - well done!
