A simple but tasty lunch Dec 30, 2014
Our most recent visit to Druridge coincided with lunch time, so for the first time we visited the simple little café in the visitor centre and were pleasantly surprised. It isn’t at all fancy, but you can get a range of sandwiches (including toasted), soups and other light meals, as well as home-made cakes and hot and cold drinks.

Prices are as reasonable as you would expect in a place of this kind – we paid £7.80 for a cheese and tomato toastie, bacon sandwich (which Chris loved!), cup of coffee and a fresh orange juice.

We ate inside, at a table by a window overlooking the lake, but on a warmer day could have opted to take our meal outside to one of a number of picnic tables provided – some of which also have views of the same lake. Service was friendly and prompt, given that there was just the one person working here and several customers arriving in quick succession.
