Cuchi Cuchi Reviews

Aug 23, 2007
Cuchi Cuchi is located 795 Main Street in Cambridge, very delightful part of town with many different little bars and stores. The atmosphere of Cuchi Cuchi is fun and retro that brings you back to the past of the roaring 20's. The wait staff is dressed is fun loving flapper outfits with lots of feathers and shine. The drinks and the food is to die for, with their bottom up shots and tapas style serving.

Must Try:

o Fried Artichoke Hearts (Italy) -
filled w/gorgonzola, pistachios & basil
---Best Artichoke ever sample
o Gratin Dauphinois (France)
--- baked thin-sliced potatoes, onions, cheese & cream
o Sizzling Garlic Shrimp (Spain)
o St. Jacob's Zucchini (Spain)
--Deep-fried zucchini, cured Serrano ham & Manchego cheese
o Marinated Mushrooms
Great with drinks!
o Moroccan Lamb Tagine
w/charmoula spices, fruits, vegetables & preserved lemon
(our Couscous goes well with this dish)
o Grilled Indian Lamb
w/beet salad & grilled fennel; yogurt & mint dip
o Tirami-su
 It comes in a cocktail glass. So So good…

Drinks:
o Dirty Little Secret  this is my favorite cocktail…

Cuchi Cuchi is one of my favorite restaurants in Cambridge but be prepared to spend as soon as
you walk in the door. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old 30’s movie.
Girls in lacey black dresses, bright pink lips, and pearls serve all the tables
and stylish men make Diva-style cocktails at the bar. Parties of 6 or more
often get seated at coffee table areas surrounded by lace and curtains. The
cocktails are truly incredible. And the White Wine Sangria is something from a
long lost place. The food is similar to Tapas and served on small “Tasting”
plates. On Tuesdays and Thursdays a Tarot card reader entertains guests with
her reading abilities. The food is perfect—inventive, haunting, from another
more refined time. Try the mushroom risotto and if you’re traveling by public
transportation don’t get discouraged if it’s a little bit of a walk from the T—the
reward is ever-so-sweet.
