Cube Hotel

This place is the absolute rippin bomb if you come with friends, or are looking for new friends, and you're young, dumb and full of, energy.

From the outside, the building looks like a cube, hence the name. At night, the building changes colour with lighting illuminating the glass frosted panels. Can be a bit annoying if you forget to close the curtains, and you're trying to sleep.

On the inside, it looks like an architect came and conquered. Areas are separated by colours. For instance, the lounge area had red ceilings and walls, and the dining area had green walls.

Ramps occupy the central building space, providing skiers and boarders the opportunity to walk down without taking off boots or taking the elevators. LCD TV's are available on every floor, informing skiers of the weather condition.

Rooms have their own drying area, with a blower in the drying area to dry boots and gloves. Inside my room, the bed well made and the couch folds out to become a double bunk bed. The bathroom was an open space, and the shower area was very small, but otherwise very neat and well designed. All rooms had a great view of the mountain side.

The lower area of the hotel had a 24 hour bar, and a fully appointed bar with many drinks on offer. Below in the basement, there's a games room with table tennis, playstations and PSP's. Further into the basement is a nightclub where every now and again, a special event would be held.

The top level of the hotel has a relaxation area with 2 saunas and changerooms. There's a fully equipped gym, and an open area on the roof where you can walk out to. Avoid walking outside during the winter...

Value-wise, it was expensive, but then again Austria in general is expensive. But compared to other hotels of it's class, I would say Cube is cheap.

In summary, great hotel for young adults!!
