Authentic Brittany Crêpe - Galette de Sarrasin Mar 11, 2013
A cozy restaurant for a taste of the authentic Britanny crêpe also known as the Galette de Sarrasin. This type of crêpe is made with buckwheat flour. The shop is located very close to the Metro Villiers. I was brought here by my French homestay parents. I ordered the la Parisienne from the menu which consisted of ratatouille wrapped within a layer of crêpe. It contained mince beef, egg, aubergine, courgette, onion, garlic, tomato and red bell pepper.

The Britanny cider offered here went really well with the crêpes. Another must try dessert crêpe is the marmalade d'orange flambee au cointreau. Orange marmalade with cointreau is also a popular French flavor.

The crêperie chef is friendly and he has very good technique in ensuring that all crêpes were filled adequately with stuffing yet the crêpe skin was somehow surprisingly thin and very crispy. Excellent service provided. Waitress can communicate well in English. Prices ranges from 3.50 to 11.50 Euro per dish.
