Crowne Plaza Hotel Perth
Crowne Plaza Hotel Perth Reviews
The lifestyle hotel for Perth Sep 30, 2009
A really awesome hotel, i should know, i pretty much lived here for a few weeks. First up, you absolutely have to get a river view room, otherwise you're in any other hotel (which is OK, this place still has plenty going for it) but it's not quite the same as waking up in the morning and opening the curtains to the beautiful Swan River. Once you've got that covered there is the best city lap pool i've seen anywhere in Australia (see photo) and also a fairly basic but adequate gym. If you feeling like actually leaving the hotel you're right on the doorstep of both the city (perhaps a 10 min walk to the main shopping precint of perth city) and also Langley park is right out the front door, offering a lovely running option around the river (you can do this 10km bridge run if you're that way inclined -i'm not but it sounds like a good thing to do). The room service is overpriced but scrumptios, otherwise go for a wander and find a feed at one of the nearby restauraunts. Other things worth noting - the WACA (cricket ground) is a 10 min walk, Burswood casino is a 5 min drive, airport is about 15 mins (but I find you're pretty much 15 mins from anywhere in Perth). If I had to recommend somewhere in Perth to someone who wasn't trying to save $$ in any big way i'd offer this place up first if they were looking for somewhere central and close to the city.
can you get a better hotel room …
