Crowne Plaza in Amsterdam Dec 27, 2008 Value: Location: Cleanliness: Amenities: Bed: Bathroom & Shower: Love it! The front desk personnel were very polite and QUICK. This is definitely a plus because I was tired and I wanted check-in to be a breeze. Location... AWESOME!!! The hotel is only about a block away from Centraal Station. As for affordability, I gave it an average just because it will depend how you make your reservations. I highly suggest www.priceline.com because it gave me a great rate. According to my travel guide, this hotel ranks as one of the highest (about 250 euros a night). However, this is NOT what I paid. My room cost me about 150 USD a night, which is clearly much lower once you convert to euros.
