Crown Moran Hotel London Reviews
AWESOME Hotel. Feb 11, 2010
This was a wonderful hotel in the northern part of London. I found it checking otel.com and got it for 100USD a night. Their normal rates are £99 a night for a standard room.
This hotel is about 5 minutes walking (if you walk slow) to the national rail platform. The city bus line, is literally right out front of the hotel. If you take the bus from the stop directly in front of the hotel and don't get off it, it will take you to Victoria station (near the palace). If you ride the bus down maybe 3 stops, you are at the Cricklewood stop for the underground. I don't know about parking here, since we just used the underground most of the time. If you also want to just walk down to the underground stop, it is about a 10 minute walk.
There are lots of little restaurants in the area, and a grocery store that borders the hotel on one side of it. KFC is on the other side of the grocery store, and McDonalds is only half a block away. Across the street, they have a little market that always had fresh fruit and stuff out in front of the store. There are also several restaurants down near the underground stop.
The hotel itself is really nice, and the rooms were not as small as some of the others ones I've stayed at. The room we were in had two double beds, standard size bathroom, and a TV with BBC programing. The room was very clean, and our bed was made and room cleaned daily. They offer free WiFi in the hotel, so this helped us find things in the area. They also have a basic workout room, and an indoor pool. One of the things that I liked about this hotel was that breakfast was included in the rate.
For breakfast they have a small menu available for you to order from. They call it an Irish breakfast. They also have a small buffet of fruit, mini waffles, bread, cheese, and cold cuts. Coffee, juices, and various teas are also included.
There is also a grouping of small pubs that are attached to the hotel that you can go to. The pub on the main level of the hotel has a place that you can eat at or get something to drink. They have nice big comfy chairs placed around the fireplaces which was nice in the winter. The menu is basic, but it is pub food. Prices are about average, £3 for a pint of Guinness.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, and when I am back in London, I would defiantly consider staying at this hotel again. The area is great, and it's proximity to transportation make it a wonderful hotel to stay at.
Sorry I never thought to take pictures of the place or the area.
