Nicest hotel in town Nov 05, 2013
I’ve stayed at this hotel several times now, for work. There are only a few options for lodging in Montevideo, MN, but this one is by far the best. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is a very nice hotel.

The first time I stayed here, I had a room with 2 queen beds. The second time I stayed here, I had a king bed. Both beds were very comfortable. Both rooms had a flat screen tv, but no fridge or microwave. The rooms were large and clean. The bathroom was quite large. The hot/cold knobs were switched, so that was confusing. The shower had somewhat low water pressure. The pool and hot tub were nice. The hotel also has a guest membership at a local fitness center a few blocks away. Free for guests.

The hotel lobby had a sofa and some chairs by a fireplace. Breakfast had scrambled eggs and either sausages or biscuits and gravy. There was a waffle maker and a selection of cereal. Toast, bagels, muffins, pastries, juice, milk, coffee and yogurt were also available. It was a pretty good breakfast and nice to have warm eggs.

The hotel is located on the east end of town on the main highway. It is probably not something you would stumble on, but likely be in the area for something already. Each visit has been pleasant and I know I will be staying there again (for work).

I stayed again in November 2013, and this time I had a room with 2 queen beds, a small fridge, microwave and gigantic flat screen tv! It is almost too big for this room! The beds were still comfy and the rooms were generally quiet. I noticed the parking lot also has outlets to plug in your engine block heaters if you have/need them. Hot breakfast changes daily. This time there was french toast (not the best), some sort of breakfast sausage, biscuits and gravy - but no eggs. It is still the best place to stay in town.
