My friend Gwen and I decided we wanted to go for lunch. this little pub used be called something else, but I can't remember the names nor much of the history of the building. This place is right in Colwood...which we call Colwood corners.
It was a beautiful day and we decided this was a great place to try out. It's is cozy inside with a fireplace...photos and painting by local artists...lots of big screen HD TV's for the sport's nuts..and the best Market salad I have ever tasted. Also some local Piper's Pale ale. I was getting smarter about the salads they serve here in Victoria...I ordered a half one and it was huge. The market salad had apples, goat cheese, glazed walnuts, currants and an apple cider vinaigrette and I asked for chicken on top of that and a little bit of Olive oil too.... Man was it yummy...and mean really yummy. Gwen had the same thing...and it came with garlic bread too. I was full and happy by the time I left. They have a huge menu and of course some great deals during the week. The salad was fresh and made my mouth want ta dance:) |
