Cromwell is a cool wee place to stop in at (or provides a cheaper alternative) on the way to either Queenstown or Wanaka. It has it's own charm with it being a historical hub (the Junction) for goldmining and lots of off the beaten track stuff to chill out and do. Whether it's sitting back and sampling some Central Otago wines, or getting out onto the lake for some action -there is plenty to do for any laid back individual(or family).

I Love Cromwell! I lived in Wanaka in 2005 and every opportunity we had, we'd stop by Cromwell. The old own is beautiful and the cider and fruit place that has the prenzel shop is fab! The lake and river provides so many photo opportunities! Definitly one of my fav places in Nz!
