Croatian secession? Apr 10, 2009

Secession was in Croatia (Germany, Austria) what Art Nouveau was in France. This is one of the most impressive Secessionist buildings in the country built in 1913 (designed by a local architect Rudolf Lubynski) in a combination of early Viennese Secessionism and modern European architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. Check the top of the building where four owls are placed to guard the knowledge. The building is a home to Croatian State Archives where a guided tour of its impressive interior is possible every week day 12.00-14.00h. Tickets: 20KN (10KN-discount).
