Ok, so this isn't a blog about travelling, though it has something to do with travelling. We, students of Croatia, organised a huge protests against the government's plan to introduce obligatory tuition fees for all students..
This has been our travel beyond the reason, and beating the government's plans :)
Exactly 40 years after 1968th revolutions..
And this is a story how we became heroes :)

I spent 8 months in Bosnia on a research fellowship for graduate school. It was a great experience and I got to travel around the region quite a bit. I'd highly recommend the Balkans if you are looking for adventure, hospitality, great food. It is also gentle on your wallet. Enjoy the photos.

Situated on the western edge of the Istrian peninsular, Poreč (pronounced Por-ech) is one of Croatia’s more popular tourist destinations. That said it’s still not as popular as it should be. Even though the Balkan wars ended in 1995, the stigma of conflict still exists. Croatia, to a lot of pe…

Of the 11 countries I have visited, Croatia is without a doubt my favorite. It's full of friendly people, great food and absolutely incredible scenery. Visiting it in July it is swamped with tourists, but that is overlooked once you enter the walls of the city and get lost in its narrow streets. Walki…

Dubrovnik, Croatia -› Kotor, Montenegro -› …
Our first day together while engaged to be married. We spent the day indulging
in the pleasure of our together, exploring the beautiful city that we had made
our own. We wandered up and down the main street, a broad pedestrian avenue,
the only street in the city that wasn’t a narrow alley. It …
