Crescendo

Thought I'd add my 2 cents on lounges/clubs in Chicago for those who've never been. I've been in the scene for a little while now so here's the advice.

Crescendo is decent at best. The door guy there takes his job too seriously and there are better places you can go. But one caveat is that most clubs require you to satisfy the following: If you're a local who knows people, a hot girl or a group of girls, or a combined with a good ratio of girls to guys, friends with a big celebrity who happens to be in town and with you, chances are you're probably going to get in. If your group consists of just guys 3+, chances are, on a Fri/sat you wont be able to get in if there are a lot of people waiting. Arrive early (10-11pm) when no-one is there. Drinks are typical $8-$12 as other clubs. Dress appropriately, no sneakers unless you're dressed "in style". Bottle service will get you in IF they have tables available.
