To get to Cremorne Point take the ferry from Circular Quay wharf 4 (although we got it from wharf 2 on the day we went so just make sure to check the boards of departure times) in the direction of Mosman. Alight at the first stop, Cremorne Point. The ferry takes all of five minutes and costs about $6 return.

From Cremorne Point there are multiple options of a route to take. You can walk around the Eastern side of the lengthy spit of land, past Old Cremorne Ferry Wharf and on to Mosman Bay where you can get the ferry back to Sydney CBD from there. We made the mistake in thinking we could walk from Cremorne Point around to the South Mosman Ferry Wharf but there is no scenic walking track between Mosman Bay and the South wharf. Well, none that we could see anyway.

At the very end of the paninsula that extends outwards from the mainland of Northern Sydney is a picturesque, cute little (about 8 metres high) lighthouse called Robertson Point Lighthouse. It's small and whitewashed, mounted on a rock with a footbridge to the mainland, although the tower itself is unaccessible to the public it is still an operational lighthouse. It makes for a good photo.

Walking along the eastern side of the paninsula you are walking past some beautiful houses. It is a residential area. One that i wouldn't mind living in! The great thing is that you are walking through an area of houses... But it doesn't feel that way.

All around you you can hear the bird calls of a variety of different birds. One cheeky Kookabura was spying on us as we enjoyed an atmospheric read of out books on a bench.

The area is full of personal yachts and boats floating in the waters down below.

From the western side of the land spit enjoy the breathtaking views of Sydney. They are definitely the best photos i've had to opportunity to take of the city and it's surrounding suburbs.

We went out there on a Monday so it was quiet and tranquil and perfect. It really is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and explore the natural beauty of a stunning suburb.

It's an easy, leisurely walk of about twenty minutes from Cremorne to Mosman Bay.
