Camping by the Colorado River at Crazy Horse campgrounds Jun 12, 2010
You need to carry your camping gear if you want to have a great camping experience. Of course in modern days, camping has a whole new meaning: bring a whole house on wheels, drive your car and sleep in it, bring your own manufactured sleeping bag, small gas stoves, lanterns etc. So at the Crazy Horse Campgrounds, all that and more is possible. The Campgrounds are located right on the Colorado River just across from the London Bridge.

It is a well managed campground with different facilities to enhance your experience. A clubhouse, grocery store, laundromat, they have propane and firewood, modern bathrooms and showers if you don't want to wash in the river. Public telephones, dumping locations, pool, spa and an R.V storage.

For water activities a boat launch ramp, boat slips, swimming beaches, shuffle boards and horseshoes for riders.

On arrival, all guests and vehicles are required to register and get a sticker that permits access to the camp grounds. Each site is limited to 4 persons. Pets are allowed but they must not be left outside unattended. Small fire rings are accepted, we actually had our own small fire ring where we heated up our mash mellows. All sites have water hook-ups which is an added advantage for those who bring their motor homes and R.Vs

Hey John, long time indeed. I'm doing better than last year, health wise. It was fun camping, it was not nearly as hot as it was when you were there. It was 98 and the next day it shot up to 103.
