This is a brand new establishment in Visalia. The owner is a long time restauranteur and decided to build a New Orleans style three story enterprise as close to downtown as possible. He foundd a narrow corner lot and went from there. The bottom floor is casual dining and bar with paper napkins, the second foor is an upscale restaurant and bar with entertainment on the weekends, and the third floor is his home. Only open for the last four months, he has tried every kind of music to see what the locals enjoy most. He had been thinking Jazz, and even Cajun or Zydeco. So far the crowd only turns out well for rock and roll. The food offered is done well but is not really special and is expensive. We went for a Jazz group we enjoy and they had only gotten booked with an extra rock single man act which made the music less attractive to the group followers and the followers of the one man act as well. It was more interpretive Jazz Rock. Other reviews I have seen speak of service kinks, the lack of Cajun style dishes and expensive. We'll have to see how this establishment lasts.
