Every evening from about 4 in the afternoon until 10 at night a series of craft stalls appear along the paseo colon, the sea front walk. It is amazing just to wander through where people are selling everything from homemade hammocks, to jewellery, to art work. The stalls stretch for about 1 mile down the road and it's awesome to see the blend of colours it creates. If you're looking for cheap gifts to bring home, or even something of more quality, it's the best place to buy them in the whole of Venezuela, i think. The choice is staggering and everything there has a homemade-remember Venezuela feel. If passing through it is definitely worth a visit, and is a much better experience than the big malls. But don't forget to barter!
