Well we arrived by our boat from Playa Del Carmen, and were pleasantly suprised by both our hotels location and our upgraded oceanview room for the first 2 nights. We decided to stay an extra night so the 2nd two nights we had to move to another room, this one didnĀ“t have an ocean view, but was a …

Today we woke up early and went to the supermarket to get a breakfast and some food for the day. And then went to the ferry to get to Isla de Cozumel. There we had booked a snorkelling tour. 2h30 of real pleasure: we saw three recifes and two barracudas and a lot of other fishes. It was awesome. Af…

A couple of friends and I took a 5 day cruise out of Galveston. Ports in Cozumel, Mexico and Progreso, Yucatan Mexico. Zip lined through the trees and snorkled in our excursion out of Cozumel. Went to the Chichen Itza ruins on our Yucatan stop. Weather wasn't ideal out at sea, but we still had a great time.

We landed on the island of Cozumel, and there was no mistaking it. It was clear, sunny and warm, and we both knew we were going to love Mexico. Just as my trusted guidebook warned, American tourists were swarming. Luckily we immediately took the ferry to Playa San Carmen, and took the bus to T…

I absolutely love the water.  I am happiest sailing, kayaking, laying on the beach near the water, or heading out in a boat to do some fishing.  So naturally when I saw that my Carnival cruise offered a deep sea fishing excursion I knew that was what I wanted to do.  My friend Morgan…

Cozumel was the 2nd stop on our Carnival Cruise. We went snorkeling with sting rays, kayaked in a clear kayak, and hung out at a beach resort. Then we took a walk down the streets at the port. My original camera broke at this point, but when I got home I was able to exchange it. I found out there was a recall on my camera.

Renting a Jeep

Cozumel is an island just off the coast of Cancun. The four things to do here are diving, shopping, beach and ruins. We rented a jeep for the day. I think this is a great idea because you can get away from the tourist port area and explore the island. In total, it cost us about $75 for the day inc…
