Cozumel Palace Resort

We will return - must check out more of the island!

This resort is within walking distance of the port city in which we arrived by boat from Playa del Carmen. The small city has great shopping, many restaurants, and entertainment/night life.

The all-inclusive resort offers a variety of activities, 3 great restaurants, and indoor and outdoor [including swim-up] bars. The two pools are visually attached via an infinity edge, and the resort literally embraces the coastline, as is evident as you look through the glass wall of the deck and see nothing but the aquamarine waters of the Caribbean.

The service here was great, except for the young woman who manned the public relations desk and gave us a hard time as we attempted to book our private honeymoon dinner. She continued to give us difficulty until we were asked to provide feedback via response card one day while we ate our buffet breakfast.
Once we left positive feedback for all other aspects of the resort and listed the challenge that her lack of service had presented us with, she offered to reserve our special dinner IF i would ammend the comment card. I agreed... noting in my ammendment that she had now BRIBED me to give her a better review for fear of being reprimanded by her superior.
Other than this one person, all our servers, doormen, and desk staff were of high quality...
although the service here was outshined by our previous few nights' stay at Aventura Spa Palace, where the service was out-of-this-world!

The rooms at Cozumel Palace are sleek, white, and clean-lined - very modern, and less culturally decorated. The atmosphere of the room is quite sensual, but kids/families are welcome at this resort.
[Aventura Spa Palace is adults-only, and we took the quiet there for granted at meal times until arriving here.]

Our dinners were prepared to perfection, much as at Aventura.
The boat ride from Playa was nauseating - be sure to get on the yellow boat, as the one we boarded had NO air circulation whatsoever!

The snorkeling gear provided by the resort allowed us to embark on our own short adventure. The reefs all around draw divers from all over the world, some of whom we met while snorkeling. The water was delightful, although a workout to swim at length.
The pools were perfect for relaxing in, on [chairs sunken into edge of water], or around.
