Coyote Ugly New Orleans Reviews
Coyote Ugly Halloween blow-out Apr 29, 2008
Coyote Ugly is a franchise, most of the locations are similar, the drinks are the same, the dance is rehearsed or exact in some locations, the outfits are basically no tits and ass showing, they are provocative not sleazy.
With that being said, the bars pack in the crowds and the majority of the time they are lively, energetic and full of fun. The dancing seems to motivate the crowd to drink more which causes the crowd to get louder and have tons of fun.
The New Orleans location has a little something special; it is hard to put your finger on just what that is. The atmosphere in the French Quarter is packed with energy and a raw essence. That carries into Coyote Ugly and it turns a normal dance into a sultry crowd pleasing number. Unlike most of the other locations the dance spills out into the aisles, floor and any other open space and the crowd dances right along. Due to the humidity in the south after about 10 minutes you are damp with sweat and that doesn’t slow anyone down. If anything it adds to the already sensual environment.
The first time I snuck off to Coyote Ugly was during Halloween weekend in the French Quarter. The same weekend there was a gay/lesbian festival and a bike rally. The three crowds coming together in the Quarter will stay high on the list of funny sites and events for some time. The costumes the gay men wore were simply spectacular, those men spent more time getting ready and fixing themselves up than I ever have. From the top of their styled wigs to the tips of their painted toes they oozed all that is female. The women on the other hand 95% of the costumes, they looked like under dressed sluts with their tramp stamps showing and of course they were the ones who won all of the costumes. Oddly enough sitting in a bar that in noted for women dancing on the bar and attracting clients with their looks and moves, the female patrons had less clothes on?
