Cowgirls Santa Fe Reviews
delicious barbeque joint with icecream baked potatoe Jul 17, 2010
Cowgirls sounds like the name of a cheap stripclub, but in fact it is a delicious barbeque joint in down town santa fe with a wide arrangement of beer, western decor, and damn delicious barbeque.
Upon entrance I was greeted by the perky hostess who told us we needed to wait 25 minutes for a table and she took us straight to the bar to souse ourselves on some suds. The bar had a great and affordible selection of microbrews including my favourite, weidmers original. To entertain us we had old guys hitting on the staff and could watch the bartenders make some cool drinks.
We finally got a table and sat outside. The menu had mexican favorites and lots of barbeque. Me and my date got a pulled pork and ribs. Both were excellent.
For desert we chose the self proclaimed world famous icecream baked potatoe. To our dismay the waitress brought out a baked potatoe with icecream on top... oh no!!!!!! Luckily it was not a real potatoe, but icecream, and it sure looked real. In fact it was spectacular and we had a good chuckle.
This resturant proved itself to be a great place for dinner, some great people watching, and watching the staff do little dances.
