Courtyard Salt Lake City Layton - Reviews - Layton

We stayed at the Courtyard during our work at Hill AFB. This hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and stores a couple of blocks off the interstate. The first thing I noticed was an abundance of outlets all over the room. 4 outlets at the sink, 2 on the wall by the door, 2 on the lamp by the desk and others where the lamps, tv, and fridge were located. Usually I have to unplug something just to charge my cell phone or laptop.

My room was a King room that opened to a patio in an enclosed backyard. I had a pullout couch, coffee table, and small fridge. The bed was super soft and took a couple of nights to get used to it. The screen door stuck, but I enjoyed sitting on my lounge chair reading or eating. It was very relaxing. The hotel also had wireless internet, a pool/hot tub, exercise room and small bar. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have a complimentary breakfast. But they did have a hot breakfast buffet for $9. I never made it there.

Overall this hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable and I loved having a patio. I also liked being able to walk wherever I needed to go. Cracker Barrel was in the back of our parking lot and Chili's and Panda Express were across the street, as were Barnes & Noble (bookstore), Super Target and other stores. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport in Salt Lake City and a good 20 minutes from downtown, but only 5 minutes from the air force base. Antelope Island State Park was just down the road.
