Courtyard Hotel Columbia (Missouri)

I have stayed at this Courtyard Marriot once during a conference, mainly for the convenience of not having to drive an hour the next morning. Courtyard Marriots are pretty nice hotels and this one fit into the mold.

The room was spacious, quality furniture, clean carpet, and the bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The room had a mini-fridge and a microwave, and a coffee-maker. They have full expanded basic cable TV. The bathroom was large, with a nice shower, and had all the expected toiletries. They also have wifi in the room. The place was nearly full while I was there but I didn't hear any noise through the walls or door.

There is an excercise facility and pool on the property. In the lobby they have a couple of computers with internet. Attatched to the hotel is a Bennigan's Grill & Tavern. The hotel also has a breakfast cafe. You can get breakfast but it costs 8 or 9USD. I never tried the breakfast because at the time I was thinking they should have included it with the price of the room, which was 120USD.

This particular Courtyard has been ranked number one in the Midwest, although I'm not sure why. It didn't really stand out from any other Courtyard I've stayed in. One thing negative about the hotel is that it's not within walking distance to anything except for the Bennigen's. Still, it's probably one of the top 2 or 3 hotels in Columbia.
