Around Bohol Apr 15, 2008
There are several ways to get around Bohol, but the fastest and most comfortable is hiring a van for about P700-1000 (US$15-23). These can be arranged prior to your arrival in Bohol. There are many such operators offering their services online.

These tours usually include the following:

Blood Compact Site - A monument commemorating the pact between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Rjah Sikatuna - the first treaty of friendship between Europeans and Asians.

Baclayon Church - Also known as the Immaculate Conception Parish Church. Built by the Jesuits in 1596, the oldest stone church in the Philippines.

The Chocolate Hills - Thousand of hills of the different sizes that litter the towns of Carmen, Sagbayan and Batuan. During summer the grasses covering these hills turn to brown, hence the name.

Loboc River Cruise - Just in time for lunch, where a motorized boat will take visitors upstream where at the end will be treated to some songs and dances by the locals.

The Tarsiers- An encounter with this charismatic primate - the world's smallest is a must! truly a Bohol Icon.

Also along the way are the man-made forest and the hanging bridge.

There are also other attractions that we chose not to see (the giant python, the Clarin Ancestral home) because we wanted to get to the beach in Panglao right away. Seeing the Tarsier and Chocolate Hills was well worth it!

The next day we hired a tricycle (P200-P500) to go around Panglao where we got to see Hinagdanan Cave, the Bohol Bee Farm and Doljo Point.

If you are interested in the van/car we hired. We got him for P800 that took us all to the sites mentioned. His number is: 0063-918-591-4969. Email: rodboholtours@yahoo.com
