Memphis Cotton Museum Oct 29, 2008
The Cotton Exchange Building houses the cotton museum, which is the only feature of the building open to the public. The museum is relatively small, located on the trading floor of the old Cotton Exchange. The static displays explain the history of cotton with contemporary items.

When I visited the museum shortly after it was first opened, I was a little disappointed. For an entrance fee that I would consider average, there was not too much to see and I was done in 20 minutes. If you are interested in the story of cotton in Memphis you might be better off if you save the admission for you and your family and buy a book about it in the adjecent museum gift shop.
