Rua do Regedor
Corto Restaurant Reviews
A piece of Portugal Dec 08, 2009
Macau has been under Portuguese for quite sometime. This gives Macanese cuisine a very exquisite fusion of fine European and exotic Asian.
While exploring the Taipa Village, we came across a Portuguese restaurant, Corto. It's a small restaurant along Rua do Regedor. Taipa Village in itself looks like a European town with cobbled steps and potted plants in a small plaza. And very different from the hustle and bustle of the City of Dreams just a few kilometers away.
Just like Corto, it was very cozy, I felt like I was in someone's kitchen. The waiter is really attentive (background: we were having a late lunch and there weren't a lot of people). Nevertheless, we were given ample attention.
Food is great - although I've never been to Portugal to attest what IS authentic, I enjoyed the food. I loved the seafood paella. The sea goodies tasted so fresh. Serving is quite generous too - can be shared by two girls.
