Absolutely amazing, the cheapest place to get tours booked also. Angelo is an absolute star and nothing is too much trouble. Beds are cheap $14 p/n and everything is clean and easily accessible. By far the best hostel we've stayed in in Australia.

Check in was super quick and easy and we got put in a 4 bed dorm which was nice. We paid $16 for the night which seemed pretty reasonable. I'm not sure if it included breakfast as we left first thing in the morning.

Bathrooms were clean and spacious, although I'm not sure why some hostels still don't have soap in the bathroom.

Great location to surrounding bars and restaurants. Also near bus station and malls.

Only negative thing is, there reception is only open during certain times of the day. We were aware of this and didn't think it would affect us, until we were checkin out at 7am for a pickup to goto Mission Beach, and no one was in the office to give us our key deposit of $20 back.... This is something they should probably remind you of if you are checking out early. Luckily a guy in our room, gave us $40 for our keys and he would collect the deposit from reception. But not an ideal position to put guest in. I tried calling the number on the office door several times and no one ever answered.

Located directly opposite Gilligans in Cairns this fan cooled hostel isnt the best,but it is very cheap at 15 dollars a night for a four bed dorm.

If you cant live without air con then you wouldnt want to stay here. The beds are clean and you can bring your own alcohol in, which is a bonus.
