Aaaah… where do I begin? Should I describe Coron as an Island Paradise waiting to be discovered [more], or do I say it's one of the finest beach islands there are in the region, or better yet the best beach weekend for me this year perhaps? I guess I already started and I would definitely …

As early as Jan, my cousins and i booked our flights to & from Busuanga via Cebu Pacific, 9am ETD. Other airlines with cheaper flight rates were already fully booked on the dates we scheduled for this trip. Really need to plan way way ahead if one is on a budget trip. Being a "lakwachera" mysel…

We finally got on the boat the next day and it turned out to be an interesting experience. Instead of 3 hours (like the ticket guy told us), it was 7 hours in a 13-person banka. The banka was quite ok, but when it started raining the trip became a really wet experience. But the only option of getti…

Philippines -› Bengaluru, India -› …
My initial plans were to backpack in Philippines for some 3-4 weeks before going to Indonesia. Well the trip did not start very well, i dropped my camera in Singapore while in transit on the way to Manila and it never started. Then after 10 days in Philippines needed to get back to office. But still for the 10 days I was there, made the most of it, enjoyed in Coron, El Nido, Sabang, Puerto Princesca.

It was an interesting boattrip from El Nido to Coron. 2 hours out of the harbour the engine broke down and we drifted for 4 hours 2 kms off shore of an island where only some fishermen lived, waiting for help. The boat we had wasn't already too big and the substitute was even smaller (and without t…
