Coron Sunrise Inn Palawan Reviews
Coron Sunrise Inn - Cheap and Efficient May 01, 2011
Coron Sunrise Inn became our Plan B, and became our home in Palawan during our Family Getaway last May 1-May 4, 2011. The Plan A was we already have rented a huge Vacation House all to ourselves, yet there were some mix up with the dates, and so it appears that their existing guests didn't wanna leave and give way. We weren't one to ruin all our plans over it so off we went to look for another place to stay.
This place I'd say is around the 3-star category. It didn't have other amenities per se, nor were there other facilities. We were a huge group composed of 14 people and so we got 5 rooms to be able to fit us all. There were choices whether you'd like the room which came with an AC and then there was the pseudo-penthouse, which was totally al fresco, powered by a fan, if ever it felt that warm. We decided to get the pseudo penthouse, for us, the ladies. The boys not wanting to be outdone, also got the other unit next to us. It was literally like being on top of the world, with the sea view right in front and below us.
Staying at Coron Sunrise Inn, one shouldn't expect any toiletries provided. It is expected that you'd have carried your own toiletries and brands. Nor should you expect the usual bottle of water. A few steps away from the place are small stores which sells these, should you not be picky about a particular brand.
While the place wasn't that fabulous, it's the company that counts. We had everyone, the entire family, and that made it the perfect getaway. It also helped that we were almost out the whole time, doing our Island Tours, checking all the beaches and islands for swimming or doing some other fun water activities. One thing to note though was the service provided by the Owners. There was a huge veranda/dining room where we usually had breakfast, and while the establishment didn't provide the food, our Aunt, who lives in Palawan, was the perfect host, and actually cooked and brought us our delicious breakfast each day. Let's just say that the family is already looking forward to when we could possibly return. =)
