Corn Islands Vacation Guide
Take a quick flight 50 miles northeast of Blue fields to the beautiful Corn Islands. This is an undiscovered tropical paradise! There are two Islands, Big Corn and Little Corn. The Airport is on Big Corn and you can take a bumpy boat ride in a rickety boat to Little Corn. Both the Islands are lush with exotic plants, especially fruit trees….and the best part….are the beaches! Beautiful white sand and all are fairly clean and clear of trash. The people are friendly and welcome you to their island.
Big Corn hasn’t been “touristized” yet. There is a lot of poverty here on the island and a lot of trash, but the beauty of the island shines through. The food is good and the beer is nice and cold.
Little Corn is less populated than it's big brother. This means that it has more of a village feel and is more of a tranquil get away, though it has a few more accommodation options and is more aimed at tourist trade. The diving on Little Corn is amazing (not that I'm an expert) and well worth getting off the beaten track for.

I've changed my mind, I like Nicaragua. I wasn't so sure last week when we arrived. But after a week on the beach in the Carribean, I have a different outlook on things. Little Corn Island isn't the easiest place to get to. First we took a flight from Managua to Big Corn Island. Then its a bumpy 30…
