Cork Butter Museum Ltd Reviews
The Surprisingily Interesting History Of Butter.... Mar 28, 2009
For thousands of years, people have known the joys of butter, presummabley spread across a slice of toast as they run to catch their bus/cart to work.
I like butter. It goes great on toast. It goes great in some other recipes too I suppose.
While we were in Cork, Sarah got especially excited when I told her that there was a museum dedicated to the production of butter. She was not excited because she is a butter fanatic, which she is, but it was due to the sheer craziness and odd-ness of having a such a museum.
The man at the door was worth the ticket price alone. He was so happy to see two people seemingily so excited about butter. It struck me that he was probably going to go home to his wife later that day and tell her how, after 40 years on the job, it was all worth it!!
It's not a big museum but if you have 45 minutes to spare, why not pay it a visit.
