corfu beaches Mar 14, 2011
I lived in corfu for nearly 15 years and in that time have been all over the island, and at some point have visited every beach corfu has to offer,so for me the best beaches are down on the south west, probably starting from glifada, pelekas which are probably the most popular with tourists but for me are too packed in the summer, there,s a little beach near these called yaliskari which is really nice,

if you carry on down you will come too agios gordis which is quite big but a bit stony,so keep going and you will come to halikouna,s and a bit further along isos these beaches are awesome miles of sandy deserted beach with enough room to be on your own even if it is busy, there is a few tourist beach resorts after these which are nice with long sandy beaches,if you travel down even further near the bottom of the island ,these are my favourites miles of deserted unspoilt beaches with nobody on them

there are not many beaches in paleo and there small so they get a bit crowded in the summer but the water is crystal clear there but cold, but if you go there there is a bar near there called lagrotto probally the most beautiful bar on the island
