Cordial House Hotel Istanbul

This hotel/hostell is divided in a hostel and hotel part. Logically the hotel part is more expensive, but the hostel is pretty pricy for Turkish standards. In return you get a very good service and a perfect located. Located in the centre of Suleymani and the southern part of the Istanbul Centre it is the perfect spot from where you can see the Haya Sofia and the Blue Mosque by foot, aswell as the bazar and tons of other spots. There is a tram station on just 200 meters so you get to other parts of town in just minutes by public transport.

The beds at the hostel part are terrible, but you'll manage. The rooms are pretty crowded with beds and there are hardly any windows. I even saw one room which had no windows at all!! If they have a window it looks out at you're neighboors at the other side of the hostel.

The lounge/communal room is not very exiting. But the internet works, and the tabletennis/pooltable are cool is you want to relax and enjoy yourself in the evening.

The breakfast is turkish and 'okay'. The feta may be yellow because they serve the same for some days.

One great advise is the traditional water pipe bar that's 2 houses further with extremely friendly owners and waiters. Join the locals!

In short: go here for the service and particularly for the location. Not for the sleeping and the amenities. The price is reasonable.

This hostel is cheap, and the staff is REALLY friendly. It has two computers with internet access, a bar, and pool table. The rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are pretty decent.

The staff will help you out with any question you have about Istanbul. It would be a good idea to email or call them about their Shuttle service from Sabiha Gokcen Airport, because it will be rather convenient and less expensive than a cab.

They have a in-house pet, a dog whose name I forget. Great place to stay.
