Copthorne Tara Hotel London
Copthorne Tara Hotel London Reviews
Oct 01, 2002There are pros and cons to this hotel; I'll start with the biggest "pro", which is the location. It's right in Kensington, which is fantastic, and right around the corner from the tube station, which is even better. The con is that while the lobby is ok, the rooms are slightly less so; and certainly for what you pay. The problem is, London is not really known for it's hotels EVER, so I've yet to have a really great hotel there; so you have to change your standards a little when dealing in London. The room sizes are ok, but they are dim and nothing to write home about. Bathrooms are kind of small and very utilitarian. If you are given a room on the side of the hotel, you may be up against the train tracks, and may get some noise from that (we did). So bottom line? If you get a fantastic deal on this, grab it, it's a great location. But don't expect what they claim on the website, unless they've done some sort of major overhaul since my visit...
