Avoiding sunburn Dec 08, 2008
Summer is a great time to visit Brisbane. However, if you are not use to this 4 seasons country like myself, you need to remember that the sun there in Australia is not like the sun we have in Asia. It is really dry and you can get serious sunburn if you are not careful. Always wear your sunblock, your shades and hat if possible. When I got there, I thought my asian skin could cope well with the sun there, apparently not! I had terrible sunburn on the back of my neck and my arms (lucky nothing happened to my face!) But if you get a sunburn anyway, go buy a aloevera gel (you can get this at any pharmacy there) they're really soothing. And one more thing, never go out without a bottle of water. Happy travelling!
