The best traditional Coorgi cuisine in town Nov 17, 2012
We had read about the Coorg Cuisinette in a famous Indian travel magazine and decided to pay a visit on the way back from Mojo plantation.

The place can be a little hard to find, just follow the bus stand road a little further and ask someone for Coorg Cuisinette or Coorg kitchen.

An unimpressive, inconspicuous little restaurant, we thought we had come to the wrong place. But we went ahead an ordered and savoured some of the food we have ever had.

This is the day I was convinced that there is no such thing as 'South Indian food'. Not every dish from south India has coconut in it.

The speciality of Coorg is the Pandikeri or Pandi curry, meaning pork curry which they make with rich proportion of Indian spices.

We had some great food at the Cuisinette, three kinds of pork dishes and our lunch ended with Gulab jamun with Coorgi honey. What a perfect ed to a perfect trip!
