a disco, eating house and beer hall, Cookie manages to walk the fine line between the three and be all things to all people. Feb 16, 2011
As you walk up the old bluestone steps of the Curtin House to one of Melbourne's 'well known' secrets you will start to see and feel the culture of our city, with nothing put to waste and with a unique rustic/indie decor you are swept up by a sea of business suits and bustling nightlife as the corporate crowd slowly but surely make their way through the 85-plus imported beers available. However, in between the corporate lunches and after work drinks you will find a quirky little venue that manages to do justice to the fantastic Thai fusion food that head chef Karen Batson creates in her more mainstream kitchen. It's not the jaunty, tapas-style Thai you're likely to see from Batson's other projects (Colonel Tan's and The Toff in Town) but one taste of the deep-fried marinated pork ribs or the dry red curry with seafood and all complaints will cease.

This is truely an amazing place, combining great food, drinks that have the thickest menu I've ever seen and an atmosphere that will keep you there for hours.

You must visit Cookie and see Melbourne the way we see our city.

Delicious food, but a little expensive Apr 16, 2011
Really great restaurant in the Melbourne CBD. Lovely atmosphere, goof for the trendy retro look. The food is awesome but a little on the steep side like much of Melbourne. If it's within your budget you should check it out though.
